Richmond 2015 Partners with Tijo Media
Richmond Firm to Serve as ‘Official Video Partner’
RICHMOND, Va., September 2, 2015 – Richmond 2015, the organizer of the 2015 UCI Road World Championships, announced that Tijo Media has joined its team of partners for the nine-day cycling event to be held in Richmond this September.
Tijo Media, a Richmond-based firm that produces content for broadcast, social and mobile, will serve as the “Official Video Partner” of Richmond 2015, delivering unique video elements of the World Championships through Richmond 2015’s social channels. Videos produced by Tijo Media for Richmond 2015 have ranged from social media viral sensations to traditional commercial spots and have included features with Mark Cavendish, Team USA and overviews of each World Championship Race course.
“We’ve worked with Tijo Media on many projects over the past couple of years,” said Tim Miller, COO of Richmond 2015. “This partnership enables us to showcase the athletes, as well as the sights and sounds of the World Championships, via social media to cycling fans across the globe.”

About the 2015 UCI Road World Championships
The 2015 UCI Road World Championships, cycling’s pinnacle event, will be held Sept. 19-27, 2015 in Richmond, Va., and is expected to attract as many as 450,000 onsite spectators from the Richmond region and across the globe over the course of the nine-day event as well as a worldwide TV audience in the hundreds of millions. More than 1,000 cyclists – Elite Men and Women, Under-23 Men and Junior Men and Women – from more than 70 countries will compete in three disciplines: the traditional Road Race, Individual Time Trial and Team Time Trial. The event, which is being held in the United States for the first time since 1986, culminates with the traditional road races on Sept. 26 (women) and Sept. 27 (men).
